Our Fence Arrived! – Part One

Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church > News & Events > Church News > Our Fence Arrived! – Part One

On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 9:00AM, right on time, the delivery truck pulled into our driveway. Our team of men from Prophet Elias and Saints Peter and Paul gathered together and unloaded every piece. Many thanks to Bob Roberts who is our project manager with help from our parishioners: Tim Sculley (photographer), Michael Pappas, David Molina, Bill Thanos, and Rodney Warren. More special thanks to Father Christopher Dillon and his son Isaiah, Father George Washburn who requested help from Marc Sacoulas, Jeff Auldridge, Jonathan Pflueger, and Michael Swagerty. The Iron Fence Company in Ohio shipped our materials for free. Inside the truck were panels of wrought iron, posts, nuts, bolts, brackets, and everything we will need to install our long-awaited fence. In record time, the truck was empty. Our kitchen angels, Alexa Bolas and Shelly Vomvolakis, ensured the tasty lunch for our volunteers. For those who have been in our parish for along time and helped us get to this day know it has been a long-time coming. We are thrilled beyond words for the help we received. Next, Bob will begin preparations for the installation. More help will be needed and notices will be emailed. Maybe a Merry Christmas gift to Prophet Elias is ahead?
